Scrivito Customer Drizly to be Acquired by Uber

Billion-Dollar Deal: Scrivito Customer Drizly to be Acquired by Uber

For $1.1 billion (about 915 million euros), the ridesharing company Uber has secured another significant share of the e-food industry.

The deal with the leading on-demand alcohol marketplace was announced by Uber on Tuesday.

Founded in Boston in 2012, Drizly has become one of the leading providers of on-demand alcoholic beverage delivery in the United States, serving more than 1,400 cities.

Drizly is emerging stronger as one of the winners during the coronavirus pandemic: The company generated a significant 350% increase in revenue in the first half of 2020, as it was announced in a funding round in August.

Drizly has been running its websites with Scrivito CMS since 2015. Scrivito makes it possible for the company to integrate all aspects of content marketing directly into its ecommerce engine, which significantly contributes to a personalized shopping experience.

The Massachusetts-based delivery service has always strived to build a powerful infrastructure, technology, and strategic partnerships to deliver a superior shopping experience to its customers. According to Drizly co-founder and CEO Cory Rellas, the entire team is not only excited about the acquisition, but also looks forward to the new challenges that lie ahead.

We at JustRelate Group are proud to support Drizly's vision with Scrivito CMS!
